Rapido Trains Announces Second UK Bus Model
Rapido Trains Inc have revealled the identity of their second UK 1/76 scale bus model.
Currently the company are putting the finishing touches to the Birmingham Guy Arab New Look models which are expected to be released soon.

For the second model they have continued the Birmingham theme and selected a Metro-Cammell Weymann bodied Daimler/Leyland Fleetline. Birmingham City Transport/West Midlands PTE built up fleet of over a 1000 of these vehicles and they became a familiar site throughout the city.
Other Muncipal opeators pushed the production figure beyond 2000 vehicles and many of these vehicles passed to smaller operators thoughout UK during the early years of bus deregulation in the late 1980's.

Like the New Look Guy Arab this model has been laser scanned, it will include a highly detailed multi coloured interior with fare box, etched metal grab rails and other features found on the real vehicle.
Externally it has flush glazing and working steering. Like the other Rapido bus models it will be available in two versions; standard & deluxe, the deluxe version has additional working headlights, interior lighting & illuminated destination displays.
