Corgi Set Date For Release of Next Catalogue

Corgi have announced they will reveal the contents of their next catalogue covering their 2018 programme on the 8th January. Details are due to go live on the Corgi.co.uk website at 10am, there's no indication as yet, regarding any new tooling for the OOC range.

Latest Atlas Editions Classic Coaches Release

The Atlas Editions Classic Coaches Collection has now reached thirty models with the release of a 1946 Reo Speedwagon Coach. This model is based on the preserved vehicle currently owned by Norwegian transport company Anvik Auto. A photograph of the vehicle can be viewed HERE. Atlas Classic UK Coaches Review

With the forthcoming release of the Atlas Editions Classic Coach Collection models to UK retailers I thought it might be the right time for a quick review of the ten UK related models issued in this partwork. The UK items consist of four 1/72nd scale IXO produced models & six 1/76th scale items based on Corgi OOC models. Update Saturday 23 December Ace Model Buses has informed me that the Classic Coach models are expected to be released by John Ayrey next week.

Northcord Enviro400 MMC Pre production Model

Yardley Wood Bus Club have received an early pre-production sample of the soon to be released Northcord ADL Enviro400 MMC in National Express West Midlands livery (UKBUS6502). One of the latest model videos uploaded by You Tuber modelbuses98 is a short preview of this sample model.

New EFE Model Update

I've been contacted by Bachmann with some more details on the forthcoming Midland Fox Bristol VRT, first reported on the 16th December. The tooling for this model has been enhanced and the now features the previously missing panel beading below the side upper & lower deck windows, another first for this particular casting is the fitting of driving mirrors. Bachmann have also published a release sheet detailing the EFE models planned up to March/April 2018. This sheet indicates that Bachmann have already sold out of both the forthcoming Aldenham Leyland Titan set (99938) & route 12 London Transport RT (34112) before release.

The following Oxford Omnibus range models have now reached UK retailers. New Citibus Models Kit

Citibus Models has just released a resin kit of the Seddon/ Leyland Alexander T Type. The kit includes separate lower front panels & four types of grilles with paye signs & optional destinations and other parts. These allow a wide range of different combinations to reproduce various variations of the vehicle used by NBC & SBG group operators. Kit CM004: Seddon/ Leyland Alexander T Type. The first run of the kit has already sold out, but a second run is now planned & the kits should be available during January. New EFE Model Announced

Bachmann has announced the first EFE release for 2018 which is due in January and will be available to buy or pre-order through your normal Bachmann stockists. The 1950's BET single deck AEC Reliance bus model carries South Yorkshire Transport orange & cream livery and features former Maidstone & District vehicle 336 NKT. This bus came into the South Yorkshire fleet in 1975 when the Booth & Fisher business was taken over. The model (EFE Ref No. 24332) carries fleet number 1087 & is depicted on service 256 bound for Killamarsh. This will be the first issue of this particular model to feature driving mirrors, these are one of a number of enhancements that Bachmann are making to the existing EFE models. This model feature new driving mirrors The next EFE release from Bachmann due later this month will be the Leyland Titan 1983 Aldenham Spectacular Set 99938, a limited number of these sets will be available prior to the full release at the Collectors Club Members Day at the Epping Onger Railway this weekend. The now preserved London General Leyland Titan T66 which features in the set will also be at the event and will be giving club members free trips around the local area. This EFE item will be the first issued in the new design of packaging for the range.

Atlas Edition Classic Coaches Collection For UK Retailers

Wholesaler John Ayrey Diecast will shortly be taking stock of virtually all the models released so far in the Altlas Editions Classic Coaches Collection. All ten of the UK related models will be available. The models which come in their original packaging have an RRP of £14.99 and are expected in stock later this month. The only models missing from the list of the first twenty six models in the collection are a Swiss P.T.T. Saurer L4C (Model 06) & a Henschel 100N Coach (Model 07). The full list of all the available models can be found HERE. Models in this collection are still being sent out by Atlas Editions and model number thirty is expected to be released later this month. It's currently not known how many models will be issued in total. Apart from the ten UK models the rest have been re-issues of models from an earlier European Bus Collection previously available in some parts of mainland Europe.
