| The latest Subscribers Newsletter has arrived contains a number of news items. The first release of the new RLH double deck bus has been delayed due labour shortages in China and is now not expected to ready for release until the end on January. The assembly of 1/24th Metroline MCW Metrobus is proving complex which is making production slow. The model will be limited to 600 certificated pieces and these are being manufactured in batches the first of which should be in the UK and ready for release by late December. Frank Joyce has been busy out of the office measuring up and photographing unspecified new vehicles before the cold & wet weather sets in. No doubt all will be revealed during 2008 as to what these new castings will be. Two New Year special models are being prepared for the Subscription Service members, One will be a Stagecoach Southdown Dennis Dart and the other a Stagecoach East London Leyland Titan, further details will be revealed in the next newsletter mailing. | An order form for the commissioned model mentioned below (7th November posting) can be found in the December dated issue of "Buses" magazine. Credit/debit card orders for the model can also be placed by phoning Ian Allan's Mail Order Department on 01932 266622. The models are priced £20.95 which includes recorded UK post and packing. The advertisement in Buses states that over 1000 of the 1300 models produced have already been pre-sold to owners of the previous models in the series. | Ian Allan Announced Their Third Routemaster Model | |||||||||||||||||||
| The third in the series of limited edition Routemaster models has been announced by Ian Allan. The RML model depicts RML2717 in Great Yarmouth Transport livery and is one of three Routemasters currently being operated by First Eastern Counties in liveries of constituent operators of Great Yarmouth that combined to form the present First operation. The models are limited edition of 1300 pieces and each is supplied with a numbered certificate of authenticity. Order forms are currently being sent out to customers who ordered previous models in the series, but it's expected that order forms will appear in future issues of Buses Magazine. The models are priced £20.95 each which includes P&P and UK recorded delivery. The models are currently expected to arrive in the UK during November.  | |||||||||||||||||||
