New Corgi Catalogue

Below are the new OOC models announced in the New January to June 2013 Catalogue which was launched today by Corgi. There are 6 new OOC models all of which will be issued with dual destination options. There are also five new versions of the New Bus for London, all will have the same route 38 Victoria destinations, but different side advertisements for West End Shows and vehicle numbers and registrations. One of these OM46603 with 'Singin' in the Rain' advertisements (not illustrated below) will be an exclusive for Corgi Collectors Club members while OM46602 will only be available from the 'Corgi Direct' website. Finally there's a 1/64th scale Routemaster Bus to mark the 60th Anniversary of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Derek Perry from Forward Models attended the Showbus Rally last Sunday and had a limited quantity of all five versions of the new Birmingham Standard model on sale. This advanced batch of models had been specially air freighted to the UK, the main consignment is being shipped by sea and these are expected to arrive in the UK in October. Latest EFE Subscribers Newsletter

EFE sixth Subscriber Newsletter of 2012 arrived today along with a combined Release Sheet 6 & 7. There are no new standard release models mentioned in this newsletter but the following new Subscriber's only model has been announced:

A couple of new commissioned models have also been announced. Firstly Stagecoach East London will have a Leyland Titan model available at the forthcoming Leyton & West Ham Garage Open Day. Leyton Garage will be open from 10.30 to 18.30 on the 22nd September while at West Ham there are pre-booked tours between 10.00 & 16.00. Further details can be found HERE The EFE model depicts T819 on route 69 bound for Walthamstow Central. The second model is being produced for the London Transport Museum's Autumn Open Weekend at the Acton Depot in October. The model features Greenline RT4113 registered LUC 462 on route 362 to Amersham Garage. The recently released London Transport GS on route 316 and United Counties Bristol LS on route 359, that were produced specially for the Museum, (see my 12th July News Item) will also be on sale at the event which takes place over the weekend of the 6th & 7th October.

New Southdown Garage Kit From Kingsway Models

New this month from Kingsway Models is a kit of the Southdown Hilsea Depot in Portsmouth. Hilsea is an art deco styled Southdown depot. The 1/76 scale card model can be constructed with either classic Southdown or NBC signage. The model measures approximately 34” wide by 5.5” deep.
