Six New EFE Models Announced

EFE has today announced the following six new models on its official Blog page. The models are all currently scheduled for release in either May or June. Update 2 April - EFE have revised the colour of the Ribble fleet names on model 38114, these were incorrectly shown as being Gold on the original pre-production sample. A revised image has now been added below showing the correct cream fleet names that will be applied to the production models. Revised Details For Planned EFE Model

EFE have revised the vehicle identity to be used on one of the forthcoming releases announced at the end of February. 36706 Northern / Go North East - Single Door Dennis Dart SLF Plaxton Pointer 2 Single Deck Bus The model will now depict vehicle 8289 registered Y558 KUX rather than the originally announced 8233 / X233 FBB. A revised pre-production model photograph has also been issued which shows a slightly modified style of Northern fleet names and the removal of the side window destination display. New July-December 2014 Corgi Catalogue

There are no new toolings planned for the OOC range in this catalogue, but a pair of 1/50 scale London Transport Routemasters are being issued to mark this year's diamond Jubilee of the type. I'm guessing the figures in brackets are likely to be route numbers. Latest EFE Subscribers Newsletter

EFE's second newsletter of 2014 arrived today along with release sheet 2 which includes details of the next subscriber's model on the rear. Subscriber's Model The newsletter includes an order form for the Subscriber's only AEC 10T10 Coach in grey American Red Cross Clubmobile livery. The model recreates the livery applied briefly to ELP 223 (T499) late last year for a running day event in Essex. The vehicle is undergoing restoration and is expected to eventually receive traditional Green Line livery. 29909 Ensign Bus (American Red Cross Clubmobile 'Oklahoma' - AEC 10T10 Coach The models are priced £30 each, further background information along with details of how to join the EFE Subscriber's Association can be found on the Exclusive First Editions News Blog. Sunrise Models Update

George Heaney at Sunrise Models has sent me an update on his growing range of resin model kits. Following a increase in the number of reservations for the proposed 10m Alexander Y Type with short windows (Kit 31), it has now been decided to after all go ahead with production of the kit. Replacements for the other three kits that were cancelled earlier this year have now been announced. Reservations for these are now being accepted by Sunrise. Kit 30 Northern Counties highbridge-bodied Daimler/Guy/Leyland Double Deck Bus A choice of fronts and curved or straight lower panels will be offered Kit 41 Alexander D type-bodied Daimler Fleetline Double Deck Bus A choice of alternative front panels will be included in the kit Kit 42 Albion PM28 as rebodied by Alexander in 1931/3 A choice of forward or 'cutaway' rear entrance styles will be included with kit. Many Leyland Lion LT1s were similarly rebodied by Alexander around this time. Two further new kits have been added to the list of proposed models, and like the three above reservations are being accepted. Kit 43 Alexander AV-bodied Volvo Aslia B55-10 Mark I The option of centre doors will be included in kit. Kit 44 Alexander AV-bodied Volvo Aslia B55-10 Mark II The option of centre doors will be included in kit. The following forthcoming kits have now reached the master stage and these are shown in an undecorated state below. Second Part of Nuremberg Toy Fair Review

Rüdiger Schreiber has now published the concluding part of his detailed review of the bus & coach models that were exhibited at last month's Nuremberg Toy Fair.
