| London Bus Museum EFE Commissions For Spring Gathering |
| The following press release has been recieved from the London Bus Museum today. London Bus Museum is pleased to announce details of this year’s limited-edition models by EFE for the annual Spring Gathering on 29 April:  26410A is Daimler Utility D73 on route 88 to Clapham Common with side advertisements for the Spring Gathering. This model will be produced in a limited run of 213 pieces.  26322B is Guy Utility G148 on route 79 to Alperton LT Stn with side advertisements for London Bus Museum. This model will be produced in a limited run of 400 pieces. The models will be released for sale at 10am in the Museum Shop marquee at the event at Wisley Airfield. Each model will be priced at £15, or £13 to card-carrying LBPT Members. Due to the low production quantities, it’s possible that the models will sell out at the event but, should any stock be left at the end of the day, mail-order purchase arrangements will be announced on the Museum’s web-site at www.londonbusmuseum.com. Museum Members who volunteer to work at the event will be able to reserve their models in advance but this facility will not be available in other circumstances. Update 27-02-12: The Museum have clarified that EFE model numbers will be as shown above. |

Another batch of Duple Dominant Coaches and lorries have been announced by B-T Models. There are three new liveries for the Duple Dominant and four new DA series lorries. Two new lorry cargo packs have also been announced. | Nuremberg Toy Fair Report |
| A detailed report focusing the new model bus & coach products exhibited at this years Nuremberg Toy Fair has been posted on the www.modelbus.info site. Highlights for UK collectors include photographs of samples of Oxford Diecast's new 1:76 scale Bedford OWB Buses and the forthcoming N scale Parks of Hamilton and Jones Login Plaxton Elite coaches. There are also a number of photographs of the latest OOC pre-production sample of the New Bus for London along with a shot of the recently announced Caetano Levante in the National Express Shamrock livery.    You can view larger versions of the above photographs on the www.modelbus.info site There seems to have been an impressive selection of other bus & coach models from various model manufacturers at this years Toy Fair, I'm sure must collectors will find something to wet their appetite in the show review. | Latest EFE Subscriber's Newsletter |
| The first subscribers newsletter and release sheet of 2012 arrived today. Leyland Nationals This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Leyland National and to mark this milestone EFE is planning to produce a few standard release models and a few very short run "regionally chosen" Subscriber specials. With collectors tending to buy models on a more regional basis EFE believes it might be appreciated making these short run specials more relevant to collectors in their area. More details on what models are being planned will be given in the next newsletter. London Transport Acton Open Weekend EFE have been commissioned to produce two special models for the next Acton Depot Open Weekend and these models while feature RF207 on route 701 to Ascot and RF174 on route to Sunningdale The models will be on sale at the open weekend which takes place on the 10th & 11th March. Maidstone & District/East Kent Enthusiasts Rally EFE will be attending this event at the Kent Showground on Saturday 31st March. With this event and the Trade Fair in March EFE's resources will be stretched and they may have to miss some of the events previously attended. More details will be given in the next newsletter. | Mirror Image Models |
| I've updated the Mirror Image Models page on themodelbus.com site and the page now shows all the currently available resin kits. A number of new kits are due to be released during 2012, the first of these is expected to be a tri-axle Caetano Levante Coach. Other new kits due later this year are a low height Northern Counties Leyland Olympian and a new one piece body shell version of the normal height Northern Counties double deck bus with the earlier front design.
