LT Museum Commissioned Models | |||||||||||||||||||
The London Transport Museum has announced further details of five EFE models it has commissioned. Four new coach models are planned for the Victoria Coach Station Series. The quantities of some of these are described as "severely limited". 99702 Scout - MCW Leyland Atlantean - S66 / NRN 611 - Due June 07 99704 Red & White - Bristol RELH Dual Purpose - RD475 / XWO175J - Due June 07 99705 Royal Blue - Bristol RELH Coach - 2357 / ATA101B - Due September 07 99706 Eastern Scottish Alexander Y Type Coach - TBC - Due September 07 Additionally the previously announced Tillings Bristol RELH Coach is now described as a "low run" model that is expected to be released at the end of this year. The museum has also commissioned an RMC model which will depict Arriva's RMC1453 as at appeared during the final week of Routemaster route 159 in December 2005. All the above EFE specials are priced £24.99 plus P&P. The Museums newsletter mentions that the new pre-war RT2 and re-tooled post-war RT are both expected to be released during the summer while the first release of the RLH is currently expected around September or October. The first standard releases of all these new castings will depict red central area vehicles. The museum has also announce the commission of four Britbus Park Royal Leyland Atlantean models. The first pair will wear the original London Country (Lincoln green and canary yellow) livery. One will be depicted on route 408 to Guildford while the other will be shown bound for West Croydon on route 470. The second pair will carry the immediate post privatisation (leaf green with light green waistband) livery of London Country North West and London Country South West. The LCNW model is expected to be on route 142 to Brent Cross while the LCSW model will be on a yet to be decided London Transport tendered route. Six New Models Announced By EFE | |||||||||||||||||||
Details of six new models with release dates set for July & August have been announced by EFE today. EFE have also revealed a fairly substantial increase in the price of the 1/24th DMS models commencing with the release of the Metrobus version 99105 which will be limited to no more than 200 pieces. | |||||||||||||||||||

Cobham Bus Museum Models | |||||||||||||||||||
The Cobham Bus Museum web site has released the following details in regards to the two special commissioned models that will be available at the Fathers Day Event on Sunday the 17th June and which I mentioned in the news item posted on the 5th May.

More Victoria Coach Station models | |||||||||||||||||||
Model Collector magazine has reported that four further models are planned in the Victoria Coach Station Series (997xx) which has been commissioned by the London Transport Museum. The first two models a Standerwick Atlantean 99701 and United Plaxton Panorama 99703 were released at the recent Victoria Coach Station Centenary event. The four new models are reported to be: Bristol Omnibus dual purpose RELH Royal Blue Bristol RELH coach Scout Leyland Atlantean Eastern Scottish Alexander Y coach No further details in regards to fleet numbers or destinations etc are given in the article and as yet there's no news of when these are actually expected to be released by the LT Museum. | |||||||||||||||||||

North Weald Bus Rally Model Announced | |||||||||||||||||||
Peter Coe (London Bus Retail) and Colin Penn (Model Bus Promotions) are organising a special model to mark this years North Weald Bus Rally which takes place on Sunday the 1st July. The model a red Routemaster based on the first re-tooled RM release 31501 will depict RM50, registration VLT50, on route 69 bound for Chingford Station. Side adverts relating to the rally will be carried on both sides of the model. This item will be limited to around 490 pieces, the final figure has not been confirmed yet but will not exceed 500. The models will be on sale at the event on 1st July for £25.00 each. | |||||||||||||||||||

Cobham Bus Museum Announce Two Further Specials | |||||||||||||||||||
The Cobham Bus Museum website has details of two further specially commissioned EFE models which will be available at the Museum's next special event on June 17th. The two very limited London Transport models will be: 30004B AEC Regal 10T10 single deck Bus - Red Central Area bus on Country route 425 27810B AEC STL double deck bus - Green Country Area on route 408 The two Routemaster models produced for this years annual bus gathering are also still available and details of how to order these and several of the Museum's earlier models can be found on the their websites news page. www.lbpt.org | |||||||||||||||||||
