TiNY To Re-release Three Kits

Firstly some very sad news is that one of the original founding members of TiNY kits range, Keith Turner, sadly lost his long battle against cancer earlier this month. He built many of the masters for the TiNY range and made an immense contribution to the model bus hobby as a whole, he will long be remembered and very much missed. TiNY are re-releasing three kits including Keith's personal favourite kit, TK9, the Barton PD1, later this year. The kit will include a comprehensive set of Sunrise transfers to complete the model and in memory of Keith all proceeds will go the The Christie where he received much of his treatment. EFE Celebrates 25 Years With Two Special Models

EFE Subscription Service members are to be offered a pair of special models to mark the companies 25th anniversary next month. The models both wear a silver and red liveries & carry appropriate "Exclusive First Editions Celebrating 25 years of truly collectable models". The models are be offered to EFE subscribers in the latest newsletter mailing has just been posted out. Both models are priced £32.50 (including standard UK delivery) and are said to be only available in limited in numbers.. 29207 Exclusive First Editions 25 years (route 25) - Leyland Titan Single Door Double Deck Bus 36006 Exclusive First Editions 25 years (route 25) - Leyland RTL Class Double Deck Bus Details of how to join the Subscription Service/Collectors Association can be found on the Official Exclusive First Editions site. Frank Joyce mentions in the newsletter the ongoing problems that are still being experienced with model production in China. In particular he highlights the saga of the Midland General RLH 34207. A pre-production samples of this model and several others were received at the beginning of the year and advertised by EFE. In January due to a lack of staff the factory making them stopped production and EFE were forced to move the model to one of their other factories and start again. The RLH model has just passed inspection and should be ready for release in September, a full 12 months after it was first ordered. However during this time delay the orders have continued to rise, EFE had no way of anticipating the demand after all that has occurred, so this model could now be in short supply when released. Four previously unannounced models are lisedt in the forthcoming releases section of the newsletter. Corgi Offers Collector Club Members Rare Models

The Corgi Collectors Club is running a ballot among its members offering the chance to purchase a rare example of the First Leeds Wright Eclipse Fusion model OM41310. As you may be aware the release of this proposed dual destination model which was announced in the 2013 Jan-June Corgi catalogue was canceled in late 2013 due to production problems. However it turns out eighteen examples were produced & these comprise of nine examples of each of the two route 95 destination options - (A) Leeds Rail Station or (B) Bodington Hall. The models will be supplied in standard Corgi OOC packaging and will be offered to the lucky 18 members drawn at random after the 25th July for £49.99 plus P&P. More LT Museum Commissions For EFE

EFE has produced two further commissioned models for the London Transport Museum. Both of these were on sale at the Routemaster 60 event held last weekend and carry the same side adverts for "Evolution of the London Bus" which were also applied to three previous models produced for the Year of the Bus event last month. (see 21 June news item) If any stock of these models remained after the event they will be made available via the Museum's shop/website in due course.
