Atlas Classic Coach Collection Concludes |
It seems new releases to the Atlas Classic Coaches Collection partworks have now finished and the model reported last month (See 25 January news item) was indeed the final one. Unfortunately I've not actually received any written confirmation of this fact, my web based account has since Friday changed from indicating another model was to be dispatched on that date, to now showing the collection as complete. So it appears as with the earlier Great British Buses & European Bus Collections that the total number of models will again be thirty one. It normally takes about 10-12 days for the models to arrive after the stated dispatch date so there's still a chance a further model may be in transit, but there hasn't been the normal indication of this on my online statement to date. Twenty five of the first twenty six models were recently released to wholesaler John Ayrey Diecast, and these have been available from various model retailers for considerably less than the £18.99 charged by Atlas Editions themselves. Most of the ten UK related models are still in stock at Ayrey's although many of the other European vehicles appear to sold out quite quickly. A full list of all thirty one models can be found the Atlas Models Page, the majority are 1/72nd scale with just six UK models based on OOC tooling were 1/76th scale as stated in the Atlas promotions for the collection. |
