LT Museum Releases Correction |
The two DMS Daimler Fleetline models (25710A & 25710B) commissioned by the London Transport Museum have not yet gone on general sale or been dispatched to standing order customers as reported in my August 13 news item. Apologies if any confusion has been caused to the Museum or it's customers. A article in a recent edition of Bus & Coach Buyer reports that the Museum will have a special model for the next Acton Depot Open Weekend on the 16 & 17 October. This is described simply as a "1965 Willowbrook bodied AEC Reliance", however this is also a perfect description for a Green Line RC type coach. |

Latest Subscribers Newsletter |
The latest subscriber's newsletter arrived today, Frank Joyce mentions the general pressure on the retail markets which over the past 18 months have created much confusion with consumers, he is pleased that during this time EFE have managed to maintain a steady and reliable model release programme at a reasonable and competitive price. This has not been easy when you take into account the serious manufacturing problems in China and the 57% drop in the value of Sterling during this period. Frank says it is the continuing loyal support of the subscribers and collectors that encourages his team and makes it all worth the effort. This year marks the 80th Anniversary of London's Green Line coach services and to mark this EFE will be releasing some suitable Green Line models. The first 31704 has been released and a few more are to follow in the coming months. The following models are expected to be released in Late August. 25810 GMPTE Lancashire United - Daimler Fleetline DMS Single Door 29907 Green Line (Post War Livery) - AEC 10T10 Coach 30708SB SELNEC Southern (Showbus Adverts) - AEC Renown Bus 29623 Trent / Midland General (Anniversary Livery) - Leyland Olympian Four new models are mentioned in the list of forthcoming model releases although no further details are given. 35204 East Kent - BET 36 foot 6 Bay Bus 20449 Lowland Scottish - Bristol VRT Series III Bus 12308 Barton Transport - Harrington Grenadier Coach 23102 Mc Phee's - AEC Ergo 4 Axle Flatbed Lorry |
