EFE News Roundup
The latest subscribers newsletter arrived this morning and reveals the progress made on some of the forthcoming new and revised models. The first shots of the new RLH have now been produced and the next stage will be to test that the new moulds work properly in production and cool correctly before they are hardened and polished. Once this is complete work will begin to prepare decorated pre-production sample models.

Work has reached a similar stage on the 2RT2 and revised RT but a serious crack in the core of the lower deck mould has lead to a delay in the process. Money and time is now being spent putting the problem right on the moulds which have already given EFE 18 years of good service.

Moving on to the trucks the first decorated sample of the new artic tanker tooling depicting a Bedford TK in Texaco livery have been produced and will feature on a forthcoming release sheet.

A few models have been added to the release programme at short notice recently such as the Southern National RELH coach 32304, these models have been taken from existing stock in the UK and are used to fill gaps in the model production coming from China which is being affected by ongoing staff shortages.

The special Sinsheim Routemaster (31904A) produced originally for a Bus Rally in Germany is now to be offered to EFE Subscriber's by way of a prize draw. An application form was enclosed with the latest newsletter for the models which are limited to just 350 pieces. The winners will be offered a model for £25.00 plus £2.00 UK P&P. Only one entry per household will be permitted.

Just one new model is briefly mentioned in the latest newsletter.
