| Latest EFE Newsletter |
| The 5th Subscriber newsletter arrived this morning along with the release sheets mentioned in yesterdays news item, in the newsletter Frank Joyce gives an update on some of new products currently in development. The first releases of the new SLF Plaxton Dart are now in production and will be released shortly, these will be directly followed by the first release of the BET 36 foot dual purpose bus. The tooling of the Olympus double deck bus now under the Optare banner is progressing and along side this modern bus work is also now well advanced on the tooling of another classic double deck bus the identity of which will be revealed shortly. In addition to all the brand new tooling some of the existing models are also being revisited and updated in a similar manner to the RT & RM models. The new lorry variations using the latest cab designs have been well received and encouraged by the enthusiasm and complimentary comments received work is now underway on the tooling of further new cab designs. Frank comments on the general interest shown in the recently released last RT that was released to tie in the 30th anniversary of the famous vehicles withdrawal from service in London, he begs the question should EFE produce a similar model of RF507 on route 218 to mark the last RF bus in service, an event which was occurred just a few days before the RT's demise. Staying with London EFE are planning to release a London Transport RM with white circle & bar logo, after it was pointed out by enthusiasts that EFE have never produced a model in this version of the livery before. (Several people have pointed out since the first posting of this item earlier today that there is in fact a Routemaster model 15622 that has the said logo. One Routemaster that definitely hasn't been done yet is a red First London example.) Finally two new Scottish models are included among the list of forthcoming models on shown this newsletter, no further details of either are known at present. 23709 Alexander Fleetline A - Glasgow Corporation 22717 Alexander Y Type B - Fife Scottish The EFE Release Sheet PDF files posted yesterday have now been compressed to about 10% of their original file size to speed up download time and reduce bandwidth use. |

| EFE have kindly supplied PDF versions of their latest release sheets, below you will find links to the fifth release sheet of 2009, part 2 of the Arriva Fleet Focus and two sheets showing the new & existing range of accessories. All the sheets are available in both PDF format and as smaller JPeg page scans, the PDF files are quite large coming in at around 1MB each and will take dial-up users some time to download. |

| Six New Models Announced |
| The following models have bee announced in the latest EFE trade bulletin and include the first release of the new Dennis Dart SLF Plaxton Pointer II. EFE is also releasing it's new range of station & street accessories under the Gilbow Railway Collection branding, these include a new selection of backloads for the lorries, bus stops, pillar boxes, a telephone box (with interior detailing!), a London underground style station seat and escalator.
