| Northcord Models Press Release: UKBUS6212 Fife Scottish Enviro400 |
| The following press release has been issued by Northcord Models. This model expected to arrive in the UK during the first half of October. Fife Scottish Northcord Model Company is proud to release its tenth model of the ukbus 6200 range on the former CMNL long wheelbase Enviro400 tooling. This is ukbus 6212, carrying the latest heritage livery of Fife Scottish. ukbus 6212 represents Stagecoach East Scotland 19895 (SP11 DWU) on route 39 to Glenrothes carried in the front and side destination.19895 was new to Stagecoach Fife in 2011 with beachball livery. The bus was repainted, in May 2025, into Fife Scottish livery of allover cream with red cantrail, skirt and two bands between decks, with large blue Fife Scottish fleetnames on the upper deck side panels, and red Fife Scottish at the front. The heritage livery is based on that applied to its double-deck coaches from around 1987. The model features some closely observed nuances in addition to the very obvious “Beachball” colours on the roof; towards the rear of the flat roof and on the rear dome there are 2 red colours featuring Beachball red on the flat roof and original Fife Ayres Red on the rear dome; furthermore, the black band above the upper saloon windows and below the rain guttering and outwith the front and rear dome is also authentically represented. Fife Scottish Omnibuses Limited was a former bus operating subsidiary of the Scottish Bus Group, formed in June 1985 from Walter Alexander & Sons (Fife) Ltd in preparation for bus deregulation and the subsequent privatisation of the Scottish Bus Group. Originally, Walter Alexander & Sons (Fife) Ltd was formed in 1961 from the huge Walter Alexander & Sons Ltd company when it was subdivided into 3 discrete companies – the Midland company retained the original blue livery, Aberdeen-based Northern adopted a bright yellow and cream and Fife took Ayres Red and cream as its trademark livery. Under privatisation, Fife was sold to Stagecoach in July 1991. The company today trades as part of Stagecoach South Scotland. ukbus 6212 features excellent detailing, inside and out, such as realistic-looking handpoles and handrails. The Enviro400 model is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. Another main feature on the ukbus 6212 model is its dual individual tree protectors at the front. The front dome on the model is significant, with its curved windscreens on both upper and lower deck. The headlights at the front are made of individual components to look more realistic.
The brand new UKBUS6212 bus models will be distributed by John Ayrey Die-Casts Limited (UK), Porte Publishing Company (Japan), 80M Bus Model Shop (Hong Kong) respectively. The UKBUS6212 model is based on a Limited Edition of only 1008 pieces produced.
