Following the significant success in relaunching the casting of the Alexander ALX400-bodied Dennis Trident, Northcord Model Company is now releasing the third livery on the casting – iebus 0008, a replica of an open-top ALX400-bodied Volvo B7TL in the fleet of Dublin Bus with Dublin City Tour livery.

iebus 0008 represents fleet number AV93 (00-D-40093).

AV93 was part of a batch delivered new to Conyngham Road of Dublin Bus in late 2000 (AV93-105). During the Harristown changes of the 31st October 2004, AV93-103 moved from Conyngham Road to Phibsboro along with route 26, 66/A/B and 67/A.

AV93 was displaced from Phibsboro (Broadstone / Phibsboro) in early January 2008 returning to Conyngham Road. With the May 2020 cutback, and inherent fleet shuffle, AV93 was transferred to Clontarf where a large number of 99-D RVs were being withdrawn. AV93 lived in a variety of garages and it went back to Conyngham Road in 2012 and finished its days at Phibsboro in 2013.

AV93 was converted to open-top in June 2014.

AV93 carries a full green with black, line-drawn city images livery for Dublin City Tour. Such comprehensive livery and branding are 100% reproduced onto the iebus 0008 model. The stand-out features of the branding are : “DODUBLIN” on all sides, “Hop on HOP off” on the front and both sides. “dodublin.ie” and “CERTIFICATE of EXCELLENCE tripadvisor” on both sides and rear, “30 YEAR ANNIVERSARY” with “THIRTY YEARS OLD?” wordings in both English and Irish on the first lower deck window at the nearside.

Another significant feature of the branding is at the rear. The tour overview wordings are shown together with the flags of different countries whose language are able to be listened onboard by the passengers respectively on the open-top bus.

The ALX400 open-top replica features excellent detailing inside and out. This is a one-piece casting whose clean lines enhance the livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible.

The interior plastic blister has been redesigned to ensure the secure positioning of the model on the plinth by following the shape of the Dublin City Tour open-top model.

The brand new iebus 0008 bus models will be distributed by John Ayrey Die-Casts Limited (UK), Porte Publishing Company (Japan), 80M Bus Model Shop (Hong Kong) respectively. The ukbus 6542 is based on a Limited Edition of only 1008 pieces worldwide.

Following the continued success of recent Alexander Dennis Enviro400 MMC model releases, Transport Nostalgia Commissions is proud to announce the forthcoming model UKBUS0091 representing Stagecoach East Midlands 11742 (YX73 OXZ) operating in the InterConnect livery.

This is the first production model to feature Stagecoach’s latest InterConnect branding, finished in the eye-catching purple “Connecting people with places” colour scheme seen across Lincolnshire’s InterConnect network.

UKBUS0091 represents fleet number 11742, an Alexander Dennis Enviro400 MMC new to Stagecoach Manchester, in late 2023. 11742 operated on a range of routes before transferring to Stagecoach East Midlands in January 2025 following the Bee Network franchising. 11742 now operates regularly on InterConnect service 56, linking Lincoln Bus Station with Skegness, serving key communities along the route. The model is depicted correctly showing Route 56 – Lincoln Bus Station.

About the InterConnect brand
The InterConnect network was launched by Lincolnshire County Council in the early 2000s to provide integrated, reliable bus links between rural communities and major towns. Stagecoach became the principal operator and, over the years, has refreshed the brand with new vehicles and improved passenger facilities.

Today’s purple-liveried fleet symbolises more than two decades of partnership working to maintain vital rural connections across the county – a modern continuation of a respected public transport initiative.

Model features
The Alexander Dennis Enviro400 MMC UKBUS0091 is a finely detailed, 1:76-scale die-cast replica developed in partnership with Northcord Model Company. The model is based on the 10.9 metre, single-door casting and carries accurately reproduced Stagecoach InterConnect graphics.

Key features include:
•One-piece body casting with gasket-mounted glazing.
•Authentic InterConnect and Stagecoach logos and lettering.
•Correct destination: 56 Lincoln Bus Station.
•Interior detailing faithful to the real Enviro400 MMC, including accurate handrails and seating layout.
•Front dome curvature and clear glazing matching the prototype design.

The pre-production sample models are currently under review. Once approved, full production will commence as a limited-edition release, each model individually numbered and accompanied by a collector’s certificate.
