Northcord Model Company is proud to release its fourth model of the ukbus 6200 range on the former CMNL long wheelbase Enviro400 tooling.

This is ukbus 6206, carrying the livery of Reading Buses with full branding for Green Line.

ukbus 6206 represents fleet number 1208 (GO11 LDN). A significant development of Reading Buses at the end of 2017 was the takeover from First of ‘Green Line’ route 702 (London Victoria – Bracknell). 1208 was re-registered to GO11 LDN, from SN11 BRX, and received a re-branding into ‘Green Line’ livery.

On 8th May 2018 there was a change to ‘Green Line’ with the withdrawal of the 702 between Legoland and Bracknell. Route 703 took over the Bracknell to Legoland section and runs all the way to Heathrow Terminal 5.

ukbus 6206 is displaying route 703 with destination of Heathrow T5 via Legoland & Windsor.

1208 carries full greenline livery, including ‘greenline express’ on both sides and the rear, and ‘greenline’ on the front. The greenline livery and branding are 100% reproduced onto the ukbus 6206 model. The stand-out features of the branding are : route details “Victoria / Kensington / Olympia / Hammersmith to London / Windsor / Legoland on both sides, and London / Windsor / Legoland on the front and rear; “Free WiFi” on all sides; and “greenline702.co.uk”, “get our app” on the rear.

ukbus 6206 is the third Reading Buses Green Line model produced by Northcord Model Company. The previous one, ukbus 0074 (782, SN66 WRD), carries full branding for Green Line with the destination at the front displaying ‘Bracknell 703”. ukbus 0074 models were launched in October 2024. An earlier model, albeit only carrying Green Line branding on generic Reading Buses livery, was ukbus 0062 (758, YX64 VRU) with destination Legoland Windsor on route 702.

ukbus 6206 features excellent detailing, inside and out, such as realistic-looking handpoles and handrails. The Enviro400 model is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible.

Another main feature on the ukbus 6206 model is its dual individual tree protectors at the front. The front dome on the model is significant, with its curved windscreens on both upper and lower deck. The headlights at the front are made of individual components to look more realistic.

The brand new UKBUS6206 bus models will be distributed by John Ayrey Die-Casts Limited (UK), Porte Publishing Company (Japan), 80M Bus Model Shop (HK) respectively. The UKBUS6206 is based on a Limited Edition of only 1008 pieces produced.

ukbus 0075 Scania OmniCity Double Decker Stagecoach London 15041

- 15041 Will be shown on route 97 to Stratford City and feature the new Stagecoach logos, one of only a few of these Scanias to feature these. This model will be limited to 504 units worldwide.

ukbus 0076 Scania OmnCity Double Decker South East 15037 Driver Training Bus

- 15037 will be shown in driver training livery with Stagecoach South East after leaving service in London. This model be limited to 504 units worldwide.

ukbus 0077 Scania OmniCity Double Decker Stagecoach London 15042

- 15042 will be shown on route 97 to Chingford Station and feature the old Stagecoach logos, which these buses ran with for most of there lives in service. This model will be limited to 504 units worldwide.

ukbus 0078 Scania OmniCity Double Decker Plain London Red

- The all red livery shows how these vehicles looked before entering service as well as after they departed their lives in London. Many of these vehicles now exist outside of London in plain red. This model will be limited to 108 units worldwide and sold out on pre order.

Earlier in the year we announced our plans to produce a highly detailed 1:76 scale replica of the famous Enviro 500’s operated by Dublin Bus. We have been working hard with our production partners in Hong Kong and we are pleased to share with you these engineering samples. These two samples are 3D printed and as such not 100% accurate to the finished casting. We have been in regular communication with our production partner and making sure we capture all the detail these vehicles have in real life. We have even made sure the model featured defined advert boards like the real vehicle.

We are pleased to share these images that show both the interior and exterior of the model.

We are pleased to say due to the extremely high interest in these models with both MBC and BCE, we have increased the production run to 800 units worldwide. These will be split between MBC to sell in the UK, BCE will sell in Ireland/Europe and 80M Limited to sell in Hong Kong. In addition we will be working with Transport Nostalgia as one of our Retail and Trader partners who will be offering our products at Selected shows and events ensuring as many customers as possible can get access to our models, further updates coming soon.

We are also continuing development of the extra detailed display case, these models won’t only have superb detail, they will look at home on the road surface display case with realistic grass and yellow Dublin bus stop. We can share this excellent CAD image, showing how this bus stop will compared to the real life version, I'm sure you will agree, this looks excellent.

A recent addition is we will be producing 200 plain dealer white examples of this model, these will feature the same Dublin specification interior, mirrors and wheel colours, but with plain white bodywork. These models will be ideal for fictional fleet owners looking to apply their own transfer and branding, they will also be popular with those looking to replicate vehicles which have since left Dublin and arrived in the UK. These models will have plain packaging and not feature a limited edition certificate.

We expect this to be our biggest ever bus year!

An Important Update on Model Bus Releases and Licensing ensuring Transparency and Commitment to Licensed Products
It’s often said that saying nothing is better than saying something, but sometimes the record must be set straight. Without going into the details of the failure of another commissioner to uphold a number of agreements, allowing the smooth market retailing of previously mentioned product and through our excellent customer care, we can now confirm the following. All details can substantiated in writing:

• We felt we were waiting too long so started to question what we were told and discovered that the E200MMC 8.9m model in white (commissioned on our behalf as an exclusive) was never going to appear before 2025, contrary to prior assurances of a July, then October, then December release given to us. Despite claims about delays in lead times as a result of samples being rejected by ADL, we know this is not the case. It was placed on hold months ago. The model manufacturer has confirmed our concerns directly, leading us to withdraw from the project. Importantly, we must emphasise the manufacturer is not at fault and we retain a good relationship. The invoice issued to TN by the commissioner for a non-existent product a few weeks ago was clearly a clerical error …….as approach to produce was only requested again some days ago following commencement of our refunding !
• Months ago, we had no option other than to halt any link with the Abellio E200MMC. Why? - due to the absence of a necessary TfL license, nor any application in place at that time for such licence. Both the manufacturer and TN withdrew from involvement.
• The Britbus GoAhead London Omnidekka we are informed lacks a TfL license for all three releases, leading us to withdraw from retailing these models.
• We have been informed through a third party commissioner that the GoAhead group’s commercial director has no knowledge of the GoNorthEast solo model anticipated by collectors. This is peculiar, as his approval is required for proper licensing.
• Moving on, we can confirm that the KMB version of the Streetdeck has an active license in place. This is confirmed by the vehicle and model manufacturer. However, Bamford Bus Limited, trading as Wrightbus, highlighted to us that licensing for Wrightbus models is held and managed by Corgi for the UK market. We have received confirmation via an interested party they do not intend to use their license for this product or issue rights to third parties. This means the earlier Brighton & Hove model wasn’t actually licenced for production (although authority is in place from the operator), nor are any other planned streetdeck models currently licenced. This we accept isn’t necessarily an issue with the commissioner, but consequently we have withdrawn from stocking the Stagecoach London Streetdeck, which as such is an unlicensed product. We have no option after notification by the vehicle manufacturer. However another issue is it also lacks a TfL license.

We do hold an exclusivity contract regarding new releases, including through written agreement the use of the model commissioners brand name should we desire. Our intention to move the brand forward with proper customer service and communication, something we pride ourselves in was what attracted TN to it.

We seek redress for all losses incurred, including any costs associated with the refunding of pre-orders. Additionally, we are addressing intellectual property right infringements.

Collectors expecting any of these models mentioned above not ordered through TN should either sit tight and see if they appear or contact the commissioner directly NOT OURSELVES through their www.omnidekkamodels.co.uk website.

We simply won’t be involved with any product subject to unsubstantiated delay or licensing issues. Without a manufacturer contacting us directly at TN we may have remained unaware for sometime of the plethora of problems. Please note that we have no role in producing or bringing the above mentioned models to market other than retailing either full production quantities or a stock allocation. Nor do we take any pleasure in disappointing the collectors market. It was our intention to develop the brand moving forward with new product. As such our involvement ends with refunds for products we expected to stock.

EVERY SINGLE MODEL mentioned above and ordered through ourselves has been cancelled. Where applicable any pre paid orders have been refunded in full (except for three customers where email or other correspondence to them remains unread - please check you messages).

Positive Outcomes and Future Plans:
This thorough due diligence has led to stronger partnerships with model manufacturers and actual vehicle manufacturers alongside fleet operators moving forward. Yes, it’s been a stressful time for TN but we look to the future. Why anyone would wish to commit to produce a model without full licensing and permissions we don’t understand. We are now aware of the need to double check, despite any assurance given, that any items we carry in stock are fully licensed for the UK market. Naturally any projects we may jointly or directly commission always go through correct licensing paths.

In posting this statement our actions are in the best interest of model manufacturers, the vehicle manufacturers and fleet operators as protecting their IPR’s (Intellectual Property Rights) and of course our own, is of paramount importance alongside ensuring excellent customer service remains at the fore. Communication is key!

We welcome the opportunity to enhance the current market by working with others. The market needs those prepared to take the risk in committing to the development of new product and needs to ensure the value of such product is protected. We are collaborating with established commissioners and manufacturers on future projects, ensuring proper licensing and manufacturing permissions.

We are pleased to share images of the finished production samples of our stunning Scania models. Our shipment is on its way. These are being shipped from Hong Kong and estimated to arrive in our Vauxhall warehouse end of November/early December just in time for Christmas! Please bear in mind this delivery has been subject to change with the ongoing issues in the Red Sea. These container ships have to take a longer route to the UK ports.

Following the significant success in launching the brand new casting of the Alexander Dennis Enviro400 MMC model in the liveries of National Express West Midlands, Stagecoach in Oxfordshire, Bluestar, Stagecoach West Scotland, Southern Vectis, Stagecoach South, Ensign Bus, Xplore Dundee, Stagecoach North West, Go North East, Stagecoach North Scotland and Go South Coast, Stagecoach London MacMillan Cancer Support, Spirit of London, Northcord Model Company is now releasing the twentieth version – ukbus 0074 in the livery of Reading Buses with full branding for Green Line.

ukbus 0074 represents fleet number 782 (SN66 WRD), that was new to Reading Buses in 2017, utilising the 10.9 metre, single door casting (the actual bus has an 11.5 metre long body).

ukbus 0074 is displaying route 703 with destination of Bracknell via Windsor & Legoland.

782 is carrying full greenline livery, including ‘greenline express’ on both sides and the rear, and ‘greenline’ on the front. The greenline livery and branding are 100% reproduced onto the ukbus 0074 model. The stand-out features of the branding are : route details “Bracknell / Windsor / Slough to LEGOLAND WINDSOR RESORT & Heathrow” on both sides; “WiFi & USB” on the front and “free WiFi & USB charging” on both sides; and “greenline702.co.uk” on the rear.

ukbus 0074 is the second Reading Buses Greenline model produced by Northcord Model Company. The previous one, ukbus 0062 (758, YX64 VRU), carries special Green Line banners on each side with the destination at the front displaying ‘Legoland Windsor 702”. ukbus 0062 models were launched in September 2018.

In September 2023, the substantive livery, including pictures, on bus 782 was retained while the branding was changed to FlightLine703.

The Alexander Dennis Enviro400 MMC ukbus 0074 is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the square, gasket-mounted windows and the livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. Another main feature on the ukbus 0074 model is its twin tree protectors at the front. The front dome on the model is significant, with curved windscreens on both upper deck and lower deck.

Northcord Model Company is also creating new design standards within the interior of both saloons. These features, inside the compartments, will represent the real, outstanding layout of the Enviro400 MMC, such as the extensive portrayal of handrails on upper deck and lower deck, etc.
