New ADL Enviro 500 From Rietze |
With news of UK models being a bit thin on the ground at the moment I throught this new 1/87 scale tooling of a left hand drive three axle ADL Enviro500 from German based RietzeAutoModelle might be of interest. The model is being produced to mark Rietze 40th anniversary and depicts one of the first pair of vehicles delivered to BVG for use in Berlin. Here's a ChatGPT English translation of the press release issued by Rietze..... Good day, The idea of turning one's hobby into a profession has already been realized by many. Lothar Rietze also had the passion to produce model vehicles that did not yet exist in 1983. That was exactly 40 years ago and a lot has happened since then. Starting small with a few employees in cramped space in Nuremberg, there was soon a high demand and new facilities were taken at the current location in Altdorf. The production in Zwickau was founded after the reunification and offered numerous secure jobs. Only with a committed team could heights and lows be overcome over the many years. We look back on the past with pride, but look forward to the future with new projects and ideas. On the occasion of our anniversary, we present our new product: Alexander Dennis Enviro 500 (ADL) The previous MAN Lion's City DLs of the Berlin bus fleet are gradually being discontinued and replaced by the new ADL buses. Meanwhile, the new ADL buses are an integral part of the Berlin cityscape. That's why we also realized this new generation as a model. Over the coming years, we look forward with excitment to producing many further interesting livery variants. The model will probably be available from April 2023. Scale 1:87 78005 Alexander Dennis Enviro 500 BVG- "Alexandra" Your Rietze Team A further selection of photographs can be found on the Rietze site. |
