Further information regarding the release of the EFE Routemasters marking the types withdrawal from London service has now been released by the London's Transport Museum. The planned third model has been delayed but should be available at the next Acton Depot Open Weekend on the 4 & 5 March 2006.

Shillibeer B20 DM Fleetline 13 November
I've had several emails regarding mistakes on the forthcoming B20 Shillibeer model 31301, the biggest concern has been the passenger doors, which on the publicity shots and the models shown at Showbus are of four leaf design, all the B20 vehicles were actually fitted with two leaf doors which featured larger areas of glazing. It's also been pointed out by Robert Marsh that the front entrance doors should be cream and not green.

Robert has also noted that the rear engine bustle should protrude out slightly beyond the rear upper deck body line, comparing the model with photographs reveals that the rear light clusters should be recessed, and that the rear side corners of the engine compartment should be less rounded than actually modeled.

Finally the real Shillibeer vehicle also carried adverts on the rear, both between decks and on the engine cover, these weren't present on the pre-production models.

A picture of the rear of a B20 can be found on the DMS page at Ian Smith's excellent Ian's Bus Stop.

^ The Pre-production model

^ Roughly how it should look

It's only fair to say that the models we've seen so far, at Showbus and in the publicity are almost certainly pre-production examples, so it could be that come release many of these errors will have been rectified by EFE.
