| Commissioned Southdown Model |
| A very limited edition commissioned model has been produced by EFE for Wicor Models & this is being used to help raise funds for the local Bognor Regis Town Football Club. The certificated model is limited to just 164 pieces and is based on the earlier Southdown Guy Arab II Utility 26320. | The latest Subscriber's newsletter gives some further information about the new tooling shown at Showbus. The BET 6 & 4 bay single deckers are based on a 30 foot long vehicles, the new Plaxton Pointer SLF 1 & 2 series models are both based on 10.7 metre vehicles. None of these buses have been seen in model form before in this style or length. | Commissioned Model News |
The Green RLH on route 462 that was commissioned by the London Bus Preservation Trust was released at yesterday's Green Running Day event at the Cobham Bus Museum. The model is a limited edition of 298 models rather than 288 previously reported according to the supplied certificates. The next event at the London Transport Museum's Acton Depot takes place this coming weekend and will have a special Family theme. Further details of the attractions planned can found on the Museum's website. A specially commissioned EFE model will be available at the event and will feature a red London Transport RF417 on route 237 bound for Chertsey Stn. 23318A AEC Regal IV RF Single Deck Bus - London Transport (Route 237) |

| New Ian Allan Commission |
| A mailing has arrived today from Ian Allan giving details of this year's special Buses reader model. After the three previous RML Routemasters Ian Allan have selected a more modern vehicle and is offering an Optare bodied Leyland Olympian in Kentish Bus pale yellow & maroon livery. The vehicle selected depicts E154OMD, fleet number 754 at work on London Transport tendered service D9 bound for Bank via Tower. A run of 1300 certificated models are being produced and these are firstly being offered to those who have purchased the earlier models in this commissioned series, they will no doubt be advertised in future issues of Buses Magazine in due course. The models are priced at £22.95 which includes recorded UK post & packaging and are expected to arrive in the UK during November although a delivery before Christmas can't be guaranteed. | Showbus Corrections |
| It's been pointed out that the new Dennis Dart models exhibited at Showbus were in fact all SLF versions based on the Plaxton Pointer I and Plaxton Pointer II body designs and not as I wrongly suggested of the pointer I longer versions of the existing 9.8 metre Dennis Dart (206 series). The Stagecoach East London Leyland Titan 29205 carries registration KYN282X and fleetnumber T282 rather than '292', The London Transport RF 23319 has registration NLE584 not MLL584 and as RF584 was never modernised it looks likely the production model will be based on the standard version of the casting! Apologizes for any confusion caused. |
