The above model has been commissioned by Ian Allan Publishing, orders were being taken at the Showbus Rally. Order forms are expected to appear in issues of "Bus & Coach Preservation" & "Buses". The models cost £19.95 including P&P.

New Models revealed at Showbus Rally 18 September
   Several previously unannounced models were on show in the EFE Marquee at this years rally. Pictures and details are shown below. One very big surprise was a 1:24th scale Daimler Fleetline DMS, it's not clear whether this is an EFE or Best Choose produced model, however it will be sold under the "Gilbow" branding and the first release is expected in time for Christmas. An unfinished red pre-production model was shown which lacked some of it's window glazing.

EFE Announce New Bus Castings & Re-workings For Several Existing Models 16 September
   Frank Joyce has revealed in his latest subscribers newsletter that he intends to expand the current Routemaster range, and has already started work on new tooling for an RMC coach, RMA Airport coach and a front entrance RMF as used by Northern General, additionally the existing Routemaster models will get a complete reworking.

   Another model to under go a reworking is the original RT model which is now 18 years old, to achieve a higher standard of detail the model will be taken out of service during 2006 and rebuilt using the latest manufacturing and decorating techniques.

   Two other new casting's are also on the way and the Bristol RELH coach tooling is now nearing completion with the first release currently expected during early 2006.
Another surprise announcement is that tooling has now been completed for a B20 version of the London Daimler Fleetline DMS, these Leyland engined versions had distinctive chimneys either side of the rear lower deck window and revised engine compartments designed to reduce engine noise.

Finally EFE briefly mention they are working of a "new modern bus" and promise to disclose more details as the project progresses.

Royal Blue Harrington Coach A Special Early Release 13 September
   The forthcoming Royal Blue Harrington Cavalier coach 12118 will be exclusively available to visitors at this Sundays (18 Sept) 3rd West Country Historic Bus, Coach and Lorry Gathering. More details about the event and model release can be found on the The West Country Historic Omnibus & Transport Trust (WHOTT) website.

   The coach will be released to other normal outlets at an undisclosed future date. It appears however that the model being released at the WHOTT Gathering will be the same as that planned for general release.

Showbus Model Announced 12 September
   The Showbus website has announced that the model due to be released by EFE at this years event will by an AEC Renown in the livery of Cambridgeshire operator Burwell & District. The model will likely depict the former Park Royal bodied AEC demonstrator 7552 MX which was operated by the company between 1965 and 1977.

   The EFE sponsored Showbus International 2005 Rally takes place at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford this coming Sunday (18th Sept), over 450 real vehicles are expected to attend, along with a large range of stalls providing everything from books to models.
