| Showbus Model Clue? |
Andrew Morgan has spotted what could turn out to be this years special EFE Showbus Rally model. While browsing the Diecast Collector magazine web site he noticed a shot of the cover of the next issue (October 09) which pictures the already announced Maidstone & District BET single deck bus along side a Southdown version with twin headlamps. The strapline above the picture reads "EFE's New BET Single Decker for Showbus" the magazine goes on sale on the 1st of September so all may well be come much clearer then. EFE have announced details of six new models today that are due for release between September & November. | Latest London Transport Museum Release |
The London Transport Museum has begun the process of posting out the latest model in it's Victoria Coach Series. The new model features Bristol RELH Coach 1454 (LDV472F) in the dark blue & cream Royal Blue livery with red Western National fleet names. The model carries a Helston destination.

| Latest EFE Newsletter |
The latest subscriber's newsletter has arrived today along with the seventh 2009 release sheet, that has a City of Portsmouth Fleet Focus on the rear, a PDF version of this can be viewed by using the link below, smaller scans are also provided for those with slower web connections.  Click thumbnails for JPEG Scans or click HERE for the PDF version (5MB). The newsletter reports that the tooling pattern for the new 1:24 scale RF has now be received by EFE for inspection & comments, the pattern is described as "stunning" by Frank Joyce and "shows potential for a unique and highly desirable model". On the 1/76 scale front, Frank and his team have been out & about measuring and photographing the full size vehicles that will be the subjects of the next batch of new models, more will be revealed about these at a later date. Frank Joyce has explained the reason for the delay in the release of the four outstanding EFE 20th Anniversary models. During the past year as manufacturing capacity in China continued to reduce our production lead in times increased starving us of models to release. In an attempt to maintain a steady supply for our monthly release programme we have been forced to use up valuable time in our in house print facility to decorate monthly release models rather than the anniversary models.
