| Confirmed Releases & a New Subscriber's Model |
The following models have now been released by EFE.   34204 AEC RLH Lowbridge Double Deck Bus - London Transport (route 178) 36301 Bedford TK Short 2 Axle Dropside Lorry - G.M. Buses The first EFE subscriber's newsletter of 2009 includes details of the Kirkland Bros MCW Leyland Atlantean (16530) recently produced for Trax and covered in the news item posted on the 3rd January. 200 examples have been secured by EFE and these are being offered exclusively to their Subscription Service Members.  EFE will be attending the London Transport Museum's Acton Depot Open Weekend on the 7th & 8th March and the Cobham Bus Museum Open Day on Sunday 5th April. A special model has been commissioned for each of these events, further details of these will be announced nearer their release time. Frank Joyce mentions some of the problems that model manufacturers are facing at present, in China of the 8000 factories producing toys & diecast models at the beginning of 2008, 4800 have now closed and the work force reduced from 3 million to 1 million. On top of this the current economic downturn has seen Sterling slide in value against the Dollar which has increased production costs by a third. |

Updating the news item posted on the 10th January, I've now been in contact with Barry Rennison the Chairman of The Samuel Ledgard Society, he has given me the following details for anyone wishing to order one of the EFE code 2 AEC Regent RLH models (34203A) recently commissioned by the Society to mark their 10th Anniversary. Cheques/PO for £25.00 (inc P&P) made payable to 'Samuel Ledgard Society' should be sent with your name & address to: 58 Kirklees Drive, Farsley, Pudsey, West Yorkshire, LS28 5TE. The models are a limited edition of 200 certificated pieces and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. |

| Phillip Stephenson has set me details of a special version of the Samuel Ledgard AEC RLH (34203A) which has been commissioned by Samuel Ledgard Society to mark their 10th Anniversary, the models were on sale at the Pudsey Toy Collectors Fair on the 10th January and are based on the original EFE release 34203 but have new side advertisements, they have been confirmed as code 2 models by EFE. The models are a limited edition of just 200 certificated pieces. They can be ordered by sending a cheque/PO for £25.00 (inc P&P) made payable the "The Samuel Ledgard Society" to: 58 Kirklees Drive, Farsley, Pudsey, West Yorkshire, LS28 5TE. |

| New EFE based Model For Trux Range |
Details of another EFE produced MCW bodied Leyland Atlantean have appeared on the Australian based Trax models website. The latest model TX10C wears the blue & white livery of Lismore based Kirkland Bros Omnibus Services, only 1000 pieces have been produced for the Trax. This model will also be offered it's Subscription Service members by EFE. Further details about this model can be found on the www.topgear.co.au site. |
