The model is based on a Bristol MW6G with the later style ECW coach body introduced in the early 1960's. The body styling is similar to the design used on the larger Bristol RE type coaches and was supplied to number Tilling group operators including Royal Blue, Bristol Greyhound, Crosville, West Yorkshire, Eastern Counties & Hants & Dorset.

The body typically seated 37 passengers and versions existed with & without cove roof windows. Some of the vehicles survived long enough to gain National Express white coach or red & green bus liveries in the early 1970's.

The Oxford model was announced in October 2015 in 1/76 scale and an N scale version was announced in June 2018 and it is expected that the first release will occur in the fourth quarter of 2018.
