Oxford 76DBxxx Series Duple Britannia Coach |
Duple announced the Britannia range in 1955, it was based on the earlier Elizabethan body design but had a simpler all vertical side window pillar design. The Britannia bodies were designed for chassis with under floor engines such as the AEC Reliance, Leyland Leopard & Leyland Tiger Cub. Duple produced the Britannia between 1956 & 1962, it was superseded by the shorter lived Continental & Commodore body designs. Oxford Diecast announced the new model tooling in September 2021, the first release was issued in late December 2022. |
