| Atlas Editions RTW & Future Models | ||
| I mentioned in my 26th February News post that flyers had appeared and details had been added to the Atlas Editions website about a OOC RTW model priced at just £1.99, I placed an order for one of these and it duly arrived in the post today. I've added some pictures below showing the RTW as supplied and it's box. There are seven further models listed in the documentation supplied with the RTW, if you sign up to receive future models, which will be released at a rate of one per month, you can have the RTW for free and get £7.99 off the normal price (£14.99 plus £2.99 P&P) of the second model a Southdown Open Top Bristol Lodekka FS. If you sign up you also receive free gifts of a Best of British Buses DVD, a RTW embossed Travel Clock, a London Transport enamel cap badge & a collectors album and the first set of cigarette style Great Bus Buses collector cards to stick in it. Model Collector magazine reports that 30 models are planned in total although this number could be increased if the collection proves popular. Turning to the RTW model itself, this carries registration KGK 505 but doesn't have any fleet numbers or legal lettering. Advertisement are applied to the sides, front and the off-side rear corner, these are all tampo printed. Silver glazing bars and the staircase handrail are also tampo printed on to the windows. The paint finish is well up to the normal OOC model standards. The model is supplied in a cardboard box with a line drawing of the vehicle on the outside, it comes secured to a black plastic plinth which bears a description of the operator, vehicle and the Great British Buses branding. The model is screwed to this plinth although the screw heads are hidden behind a plastic cover plate which is glued to the underside of the plinth. | Product Amendment & Future Releases | ||
 After some consideration, Corgi has decided that the single deck Optare Solo - London 2012 site tour bus would be far better positioned as a collectable item so the release will now carry an OM code and will be priced, packaged ( as per handover bus ) as an OOC limited edition collectable bus with a numbered limited edition certificate. The model was originally allocated item code TY44115 but will now be issued as OM44117. The next batch of Corgi model releases are scheduled for the week commencing the 19th April with two further batches due in the weeks commencing the 10th & 24th May. None of these batches contain any OOC models at present, it looks likely it will be June at the earliest before we see any of the OOC models from the latest Corgi Catalogue released. | Levante Coach Model Delayed | ||
| Corgi have announced that the tooling for the proposed new Levante coach model won't be ready in time for the previously announced September release. They have thus decided to postponed the release of the first model and instead it will be included in the next catalogue programme (October 2010 - March 2011). | ||

| Atlas Editions RTW Model | ||
| Atlas Editions are once again advertising a RTW model in London Transport livery, this is based on the OOC casting and has been advertised in various magazines recently including The Radio Times. There are also details on Atlas Editions UK website where the model is being offered for just £1.99 plus free P&P. I don't know if there are any hidden catches to this offer or not but the website does state "absolutely no commitment" & "nothing else to buy", however if you do find yourself tied in to purchasing a collection of 50 further models or something similar please don't blame me! The model depicts KGK 505 on route 22 bound for Chelsea Worlds End and lacks some of the finer details such as mirrors, indicators and the windscreen wiper found on the standard OOC versions.
