OM457 AEC Q Double Deck Buses |
Only 32 Q type double deckers were built by AEC at it's Southall works, designed by John Rackham the vehicle made it's first appearance in October 1932. The vehicles advanced design with it's side mounted engine was ahead of it's time but it's high asking price resulted in the majority of operators sticking to more traditional and much cheaper alternatives then available. The OOC Q double deck model was launched in November 2001, with only 32 production vehicles built the scope for releases is somewhat limited, but Corgi has already produced a mixture of both London & provincial liveries. |
