Nine New EFE Models Announced

EFE's latest release sheet contains details of seven new standard release models which are all scheduled for release in August and two new London related subscriber only models which are being offered to recipients of the EFE newsletter for £28.00 each. Updated 20th June with high quality media images of the models and a PDF and scanned versions of the latest release sheet. Another CMNL Model Released

The CMNL Stagecoach Alexander Enviro400 commissioned in connection with last year's Scottish Vintage Bus Museum Open Day has now been received by the commissioner Susan Cameron. I understand the model has been oversubscribed but that the orders are now being processed in the order that they were received. UKBUS0037 Stagecoach Strathtay (37 Tay Way) - Dennis Trident Alexander Enviro400 Double Deck Bus It appears that things might be slowly moving forward in terms of the future for the former CMNL range, the Australian Transitgraphic site has made reference to the new "Northcord Model Company" and is currently running a poll regarding what should be the next livery on a AUBUS series CB60 model.

Conwy Model Railway Exhibition

You may be wondering why I've listed a model railway exhibition here, well there's a good reason to visit this event. Ken Jones who provided much of the information for the N Scale Model Bus list is exhibiting his Tennis Court Sidings layout at the event. He plans to bring a good selection of his N scale Model Bus collection to the show & display as many as possible on the layout. There will be up to 12 N scale layouts at the event along with a number of retailers. The Conwy Model Railway Exhibition is being held on Saturday the 7th July at St Mary's Church Hall and will be open between 10am & 4pm. Entrance is £3 for adults & £1 for children. The church hall is located in Rosehill Street, Conwy, LL32 8LD Conwy Railway Station is 2 minutes walk from the hall while parking is available in the Pay & display car park opposite the hall.

The following model has now been released in the UK and it would appear that no further CMNL releases can be expected in the foreseeable future. This particular model was manufactured before the failure of the Creative Master Ltd business back in January. Arriva London will donate £5.00 to the Maggie’s cancer care charity for every model sold. 31908A Arriva London (RML901 / route 38 Victoria Station) - AEC RML Routemaster 33103B Arriva London (RMC1464 / route 38 Clapton Pond) - Open Top AEC RMC Routemaster The models depict the Arriva Heritage fleet's RML 901 & open top RMC 1464, they carry Walk the 38 adverts on the nearside & Arriva Heritage fleet adverts on the off-side. The RML displays a Victoria Station destination while the RMC is bound for Clapton Pond. Both models are each limited to 500 pieces. Mirror Image Kits Update

I've update the Mirror Image model page with the latest kit availbility details. The next kit to be released is expected towards the end of June and will be the Volvo Olympian Northern Counties Palatine (M6). Two new kits have been announced a Duple Britannia Coach (M25) and a ECW bodied Bristol KSW (M29), there are also new photographs of the North Western version of East Lancs Dennis Dominator (M22), Bedford VAS MK V Duple Dominant (M10) and Volvo B10B Alexander Strider (M17) which are currently being prepared for release. All the kits mentioned can be purchased or pre-ordered from the new A's Models of Bolton website.

Commissioned EFE Model Update

Xelabus Dennis Dart SLF Plaxton Pointer 2 I've contacted Xelabus regarding the Dennis Dart SLF Plaxton Pointer which they have commissioned EFE to produce in their company livery. The models will depict the former Metroline dual door T56 KLD (now Xelabus 407) on route X4 bound for Fair Oak via Eastleigh Bus Station, delivery of the models is expected very soon and they will be priced £29.95 plus £4.00 UK P&P. They are a limited edition of 600 pieces and £5.00 from the sell of each model will be donated to the Neuroblastoma Society for Children's cancer research.
