| New RT Model Announced By Sunstar |
| Sunstar have announced that they will be producing a 1:24 scale model of London Transport's RT1 in its original condition as part of its 2013 catalogue. The recently restored RT 1 is now preserved by the London Bus Museum at Brooklands.  The new Sunstar 2013 catalogue can be downloaded from the manufacturer's www.sunstarmodelcars.com site. |

| Latest EFE Subscribers' Newsletter |
| The first Subscribers' newletter of the year arrived from EFE today and included with it is a subscriber Back Stock List containing details of past model releases that are still available from EFE at a special subscribers price. Frank Joyce has refined what is required when suggesting a suitable vehicle for a future model: The requirements are pictures of all sides of the vehicle so we can confirm any particular feature on the bus. Pictures of the 'back of the bus' are often few and far between so sketches of the rear often have to suffice. Then we need detail of the 'legal' wording with address that appears on the vehicle with registration and fleet numbers and finally a good suitable route number and destination display. Once we have confirmed all of these details we can consider producing a model to add to our range. Gathering information for a model is not easy and there are plenty of things to trip up the unwary like the T blinds on some Bristol buses where the T blind at the rear can sometimes be inverted from the blinds at the front There's a more detailed list of the information that helps when suggesting a model on the EFE website HERE and there's a guide to taking photographs for model manufacturers on themodelbus.com by Campbell H. Morrison A limited quantity of the Action Bus, Canberra Leyland National model recently announced for the Australian Trux range (TX11F) have been secured by EFE for its subscribers. Order forms for the model which has been allocated EFE number 16703 will be sent out with a future newsletter. See the 11 January news item for further model details. The list of forthcoming models contains the following three previously unannounced items. | Oxford Announce New Castings |
| Oxford Diecast have announced a number of new models for both the N & OO road vehicle ranges at the London Toyfair, these are expected to be released in the 2nd or 3rd quarters of this year. For the bus & coach collector there are two new N scale castings of a Plaxton Panorama I Coach & a Guy Arab Utility Bus. 1/76 collectors can look forward to a 3 Axle version of Scania Irizar Coach which has a RRP of around £20! | Two Bus Dormy Shed Kits Announced By Kingsway Models |
Kingsway model's latest pair of card kits depict to small dormy sheds used by Southdown & East Kent. The kits are both priced £11 each inclusive of UK P&P and can be built with repositionable doors. They also feature some internal detailing.  Kit SHS depicts Southdown's Handcross shed and will accommodate two vehicles. View kit brochure. | New EFE Leyland National Model For Trux |
| Trax has announced a new Leyland National model for its Australian Trux range. Trax has in the past used EFE tooling for several previous models in the Trux range and these models have also been offered by EFE to its subscribers in limited numbers. The model TX11F depicts an Action Buses of Canberra vehicle in the operator's white & orange livery and is due to be released in Australia in February. | Northcord: Press Releases For UKBUS8020/1,9006 |
| The Northcord Model Company has issued the following Press Releases concerning three models over the past few days. London United RATP Group Northcord Model Company is proud to release its third model under the new company name. This is ukbus 9006, using the Scania OmniCity double-deck casting and carrying the standard, red TfL livery with London United fleetnames.  The model as replicated is London United RATP Group SP164 (YP59 OEZ) on route 10 to King’s Cross with ‘via Kensington’ carried in the side destination. The replica features excellent detailing, inside and out, such as realistic-looking handpoles and handrails. This is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible. To achieve a smoother look the glazing has been affixed from the outside of the metal bodyshell.  ------------------------------------------------------------------- London United RATP Group and Go-Ahead London General Northcord Model Company is proud to release its first modified tooling on the former CMNL Enviro200 tooling. This is launched on ukbus 8020, London United RATP Group, and ukbus 8021, Go-Ahead London General. Both models feature the revised front bumper and headlamp cluster that ADL first introduced at Coach and Bus Live 2009. The lower grp panels received a protrusion at the bottom of the corner panels making, in effect, a small “bumper”. The headlamp cluster retained the familiar shape and the same size as before with the driving lights and indicator being moved closer together and nearer to the top of the unit to allow space for daytime LED lights, if fitted. Whether or not the LED lights are fitted, the new panel is identical.   The replicas feature excellent detailing, inside and out, such as realistic-looking handpoles and handrails. The Enviro200 model is a one-piece casting whose clean lines accentuate the windows and livery application on which all logos and lettering are clearly legible.   |
