Four New Models Announced

EFE has issued details of the four new models briefly mentioned in the last EFE Subscribers newsletter, they've also confirmed two further models featured on the rear of recent release sheets. All six models are provisionally earmarked for release in either July or August. New Australian Trux Model

The www.topgear.com.au website has details of new Leyland National model in the green & white livery of Perth's MTT. The model appears to be another release based on the 150xx series EFE tooling and if the same arrangements have been made as with previous such models it's likely that EFE Subscription Service members will be offered this model in standard EFE packaging at some point in the future. The model is due to be released in Australia in August and can be purchased directly from the Top Gear website, it's limited to 1000 pieces. Arriva Heritage FLeet Models

Orders can now been placed for the pair of Open Top RMC Routemasters commissioned by the Arriva Heritage fleet. The models will also be available today (19th June) between 14.00 & 15.30 from the Heritage Fleet Routemaster parked on the Green opposite Tottenham Bus Garage (Cash Sales only). Online orders can be placed by visiting: http://arrivashop.csndigitalmedia.com The models are priced £29.99 plus £2.50 P&P each and are a limited edition of 1000 pieces (Cat No.s 33103 & 33103A), 50% of the models have route 123 destinations while the remainder have Arriva Heritage Fleet blinds.

Can You Help BBC Documentary Makers?

I've been contacted by Andy Mosse who's making two documentaries about coach travel for the BBC4 Timeshift series. The first programme is the Golden Age of coach travel while the second programme will concentrate on the formation of the National Bus Company in the late 60s/ early 70s and takes the story up to the present day. Andy has been trying to come up with a way of filming buses that is slightly different and that might link some of the chapters of the film together, he's heard about model bus enthusiasts and had an idea which involves the possibility of filming the model versions of the different buses that will be featuring in the programme. It's only an idea at this stage but he's particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has a fairly large Diorama that would provide plenty of different filming options. The filming needs to take place during the weeks 21st-25th June and 5th-9th July so if you think you might be able to help please contact him by email as soon as possible. Andy is also looking for moving footage of buses filmed during the 70s & 80s which relates to the subject of the programme. The deadline for submissions has now passed.

Latest Subscriber Newsletter & Release Sheet

The latest newsletter gives further details about the Arriva Heritage route 123 Anniversary Run taking place on Saturday 19th June. The two new open top RMC models (see 7th May News posting) that have been commissioned for the event will be available on the day from a Heritage Routemaster which will be parked at the green adjacent to Tottenham Bus Garage between 14.00 & 15.30 hours, (cash sales only). The Haven House Children's Hospice has been chosen as the charity that will benefit from this event.
