| Another Mercedes Minibus For Trax |
| The Trax Topgear website is now advertising another Australian Mercedes Benz Minibus based on the EFE casting. The latest offering TX14C depicts a vehicle from the Sydney based fleet of Shorelink, this operator is part of the Transdev Group who also have operations in the UK. The model carries fleet number 73 and the Registration MO-8384 and is depicted on route 589 bound for SAN Hospital. The model is finished in a plain white livery but has a large rear advertisement featuring a Renault Coupe Cabriolet car. Trax indicate the model is a short run of just 1000 units. It's not yet known whether EFE will as with previous Trax commissions offer this model directly to their Subscription Service Members. | The fifth Subscriber's Newsletter of the year arrived this morning and mentions further problems in Southern China where over 10,000 factories have been closed following the enforcement of tougher health & safety labour laws. Fortunately EFE hasn't been affected by this situation and has managed to maintain a steady flow of new models. There's some clarification in regards to the new 1:76 scale bus models mentioned in the previous newsletter, firstly the following models are being tooled and have already been identified. Retooled (post-war) RT3 Retooled RTL RMA Routemaster Luggage Trailer Scania Olympus Double Deck Bus 1:24 Scale AEC RF Bus The three so far unidentified 1:76 scale models will consist of a double deck bus & pair of Single deck buses. Tooling is described as well advanced on these and the identities of each will be announced at a later date. Commissioned Models A Daimler Fleetline XF double deck bus has been commissioned by the Cobham Bus Museum and will be available at the Rear Engined Running Day of Sunday the 15th June. The model 18204A carries London Transport country area green livery and depicts XF8 (CUL 58C) on Holloway Garage's (HT) route 271 bound for Holloway Road, Pemberton Garadens. The STL model for the Bow Garage Open Day that was mentioned in the London Transport Museum Newsletter last week is confirmed as 27702A, a non roof box version bearing the fleet number STL634 (BLH 716) and blinds for route 8A to Old Ford. The models will be available from the LT Museum stand at the Open Day on Saturday 28th June.
