Volvo Olympain NC Palatine I |
THE REAL BUSES
The Northern Counties Palatine I body was introduced in 1992 and remained in the body builders range until 1997.
The vehicle had a traditional step entrance and the body was mainly built on the Leyland & later Volvo Olympian chassis.
The vehicles proved popular with a wide range of operators and examples could be found in all the large bus groups such as Stagecoach, First & Arriva. Some examples also operated with various London operators, such a London Buslines, First Centrewest, Capital Citybus, Metrobus, London Central & Grey Green.
Most of the vehicles were built to single door layout, but some dual door examples were used by the London operators.
THE EFE MODELS
This was the first totally new bus tooling added to the EFE range following its aquistration by Bachmann Europe. The initial three models were announced in August 2018 and all three are based on single door NV class vehicles operated by either London Central & Metrobus.
The first releases of the model were originally expected during 2019, but the models were still in development at the beginning of 2023.
