CMNL introduced the Scania Omnicity Double Deck model in early 2012, this vehicle is similar in styling to the single deck version introduced to the model range in 2006. This was the last new model bus launched by the Creative Master Northcord incarnation of the manufacturer.

In all seven models have been produced out of the nine announced before the CMNL era ended during 2012.

A pre-production sample of the National Express West Midlands model is known to have been produced for evaluation by the operator. It now seems unlikely either that model or the proposed Brighton & Hove version will ever be issued.

The model can be produced in either single or dual door form and there is also a casting variation which reproduces the additional cooling vents found on the rear of some vehicles.

In August 2022 Northcord Models announced that they would be relaunching the Scania OmniCity casting and that the Northcord versions would be issued in a new UKBUS9500 series.
