The Buckie Model Centre has commissioned a series of Holland Oto VDL Futura 2 models in Scottish coach operator liveries. These model are marketed as The Scottish Coach Collection and each release has been produced as a limited edition of either 100 or 125 models. The first models were released in the early Summer of 2018, a total of fourteen models have been released to date. During 2019 a number of additional models were offered to supplement the collection and produced on a made to order basis using specially produced waterslide transfers. Some were supplied with a selection of different registration plate transfers for the buyer to add as desired. Two English operator models were announced in the Spring of 2020 and will be both single deck & double deck versions of the VDL Bova Futura 2. These models are being used for the English Coach Collection releases. In 2023 Buckie Model Centre announced it had commission Holland Oto to produce a 1:76 scale model of the double deck Plaxton Panorama coach. The first issues of this model were nine Scottish operator models in the Spring of 2024. All the models below are exclusive to the Buckie Model Centre and can be ordered via the retailer's online store. |
