German based Brekina Models announced their 1:87th (HO) scale London Routemaster bus in 2020, The model is available in two versions, either conventional double deck or an open top conversion.

All tooling is based on the original shorter RM Class vehicle, with single head lamps & open rear platform, some issues of the model have been based on different variations of vehicle, either longer RML vehicles with the additional centre half bay, or other classes of the Routemaster such as the Greenline RMC which had rear platform doors & twin head lamps. A BEA versions was also issued, in reality this had a forward entrance with platform doors and twin head lamps.
The open top version appears to be based on the vehicles converted for use of the Round London sightseeing tour in the 1980s.

Apart from vehicle type compromises, several models have also been issued with other errors such as incorrect fleet numbers or registration plates.

The models are of plastic construction and appear to be a good representation of the RM version of the Routemaster. The models have so far been a mix of mainly UK & few German liveries that are based liveries applied to real vehicles.

One odd feature of all the models issued to date, is that the clear plastic bulkhead dividing the rear platform from the lower deck saloon is left unpainted.

The first pair of releases were in December 2020 with further new issues following in the later half of 2021.
